Featured Showcase

A selection of paintings mostly done since I restarted in 2020. Sometimes I look at an image and think that it does not need anything extra such as my image of the statues at Blagdon, just to capture from a different angle is usually satisfying enough. Other times I like to add something extra, maybe just a rainbow, maybe a tribute to history. In my image of Blagdon hall I used an image of a previous Viscount Ridley who built a racing car and Northumberlandia that was built by the current Ridley resident. When painting a village pub I read a village history book and used pleasing images such as a welcoming miner. The clouds were based on a drawing done of the locale in the 1700s and original family crests are on the village green.

Images such as these I would like to make available in various formats.
